Job summary

Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Exeter, NH, is seeking an experienced Senior Mental Health Program Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate inpatient care to seniors with diverse psychiatric needs.

As part of our RN team, you will perform assessments, develop care plans with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and ensure adherence to Standards of Patient Care in a fast-paced environment. NH licensure and active BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in NH or a compact state.
• Active BLS certification.
• Active Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles and behavioral health diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatments and procedures per Standards Manual and applicable guidelines.
• Care for geriatric patients with psychiatric needs, considering safety and education.
• Conduct initial intake assessments and collaborate on care plans with the team and family.
• Provide patient education about hospitalization, disease process, and medications.
• Other tasks as assigned.
