Job summary

Frisbie Memorial Hospital is seeking a Senior Mental Health Program Registered Nurse to join our inpatient geriatric unit. You will provide compassionate psychiatric nursing care, perform treatments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop safe care plans for complex patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in NH or a compact state.
• Active BLS certification.
• Active Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Strong interpersonal communication and patient confidentiality.
• Knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles and behavioral health treatments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatments and procedures per Standards Manual and RN scope.
• Care for geriatric patients with psychiatric conditions in an inpatient setting.
• Conduct intake assessments and develop care plans with the team, patient, and family.
• Educate patients and families about illnesses and medications.
• Other tasks as assigned.
