Overview

Senior Mental Health and Wellbeing Lead
Fort Smith, AR; Hackettstown, NJ; Gainesville, GA; Waco, TX; Elizabethtown, PA
Hybrid- 3 days onsite

The Senior Mental Health and Wellbeing Lead is responsible for evaluating and deploying mental health strategy and programs in North America. This role will advance the mental health and wellbeing agenda at Mars through consulting with stakeholders developing, planning, delivering, and evaluating mental health and wellbeing programs. The ideal candidate has a background in mental health, health promotion, a strong understanding of wellness program implementation, ongoing organization of program delivery and can work collaboratively as a part of a team to create positive business impact.

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion, Health & Wellness, Public Health, or Mental Health required. Master’s degree in Social Work strongly preferred
  • 4+ years of related industry experience and 3 years of program management experience, preferably in a corporate health or wellbeing setting is required.
  • Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification
  • Prior experience supporting the development and deployment of mental health training and managing mental health programming portfolio required
  • Prior experience of managing and leading a team required
  • Must be comfortable functioning as a mental health expert in the region
  • Prior experience translating data insights into actionable plans used to solve health and well-being-related problems in the workplace required
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service
  • The ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Must have prior project management experience
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Teams)
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas of facilitation, program development, implementation, analysis and outcomes reporting.
  • Must be willing to travel
What would be your key responsibilities?

Mental Health Programming and Development

  • Comprehensively understands the global strategy and ensures its effective implementation within the region, while leading the development and execution of regional mental health programs, guaranteeing that all initiatives are fully aligned with the Associate Health & Wellbeing strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to collaboratively identify population health needs with a focus on mental health and resilience.
  • Utilizes data to generate insights into mental health prevalence within the population
  • Evaluates existing mental health programs and designs new initiatives tailored to population needs.
  • Leads the development and implementation of regional mental health programs and ensures all programs align with the AH&WB global strategy.
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive mental health education resource library.
  • Continuously advance the mental health strategy through research, networking, partnerships, and application of best practices.
  • Manage the Mental Health First Aid Network, including, but not limited to, the coordination of training, events, and initiatives to ensure the network’s ongoing sustainability and ongoing process improvement

Wellbeing Lead

  • Build relationships with assigned sites and stakeholders to diagnose, develop, and deliver a holistic wellbeing plan, aligned to the region’s focus areas, and address local problems resulting in measurable outcomes for the business.
  • Develops deep expertise in Mars Associate Survey (MAS) data analysis to support business leaders in understanding the implications of the findings and recommends options for consideration
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to the sites for mental health & wellbeing and actively contributes to driving solutions for challenges elevated by stakeholders
  • Translates wellbeing data, dashboards, and insights into actionable recommendations that stakeholders can use to address site needs
  • Supports the development and delivery of site action plans in partnership with occupational health nurses and key stakeholders
  • Builds trusted, credible partnerships with site leaders and stakeholders to drive a culture of health
  • Plans, implements and evaluates signature programs (Site Health Fundamentals, Energy4Life facilitation/delivery, Eat Well Be Well) both at sites and virtually for targeted Associate populations
  • Utilizes evidenced based practices and tools to influence and inspire healthy behaviors with Associates, Line Managers, and Leaders
  • Creates and delivers mental health and wellbeing curated content aligned with Mars Be Well Together strategy and data insights

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all locations listed within the job posting: USD 78,045.00 - USD 107,309.00
