Job summary

Becton, Dickinson, and Company (BD) seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead cross‑functional teams through complex product development and sustaining engineering projects in the medical device arena. You will align with engineering, quality, regulatory, marketing, operations and external suppliers from concept to commercialization.

You will govern projects, report to leadership, plan resources, and ensure compliance with design controls and quality systems across BD’s portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance, and product development lifecycle processes.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Experience working with external suppliers, contract manufacturers, and development partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams in planning and execution of new product development, sustaining engineering, remediation, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, and governance documentation.
• Drive project execution by identifying, managing, and escalating risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
• Facilitate project team meetings with clear ownership and follow-up on actions.
• Monitor performance against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and objectives.
• Prepare and deliver project status updates, executive presentations, and portfolio reporting.
