Job summary

EPM Scientific is seeking a Senior Medical Writer, Publications to join a collaborative medical communications team. You will develop, edit, and shape high-impact publications including Phase III manuscript work and related scientific communications for pharmaceutical clients and investigators.

The role emphasizes translating complex clinical data into publication-ready narratives, coordinating with authors and clients, and ensuring adherence to ethical standards.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, or MD required.
• At least 1 year of medical writing experience in medical communications, pharma, biotech, CRO, or related fields.
• Experience as author on at least one Phase III manuscript submitted to a peer-reviewed journal.
• Experience developing publications from protocols, CSRs, and other clinical study documents.
• Strong understanding of clinical research, data interpretation, publication planning, and ethics.
• Experience managing publication projects from initiation to submission or presentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and revise peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, posters, congress presentations, slide decks, and related scientific communications.
• Lead the development of clinical trial manuscripts from source materials (protocols, CSRs, statistical outputs, etc.).
• Collaborate with clients, authors, investigators, and internal teams on messaging, publication strategy, and timelines.
• Support development of visual scientific materials (figures, graphical abstracts, posters, presentations).
• Ensure compliance with publication ethics and industry guidelines (ICMJE, GP publication standards).
