Qualifications

• Six months of experience demonstrating ability to perform the work or understanding of the work.
• One year above high school with health care related courses (sterile processing, nursing assistant, OR tech) or equivalent.
• VA qualification standards knowledge or grandfathering provisions may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assembles highly complex instrument sets for procedures (e.g., open heart, orthopedic, cardiovascular).
• Processes complex endoscopic instrumentation for GI, bronchoscopy, urology, and OR.
• Reviews manufacturer guidelines to ensure proper cleaning, decontaminating and sterilizing of RME.
