The US Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Medical Supply Technician (MST) at John Cochran VA Hospital in Saint Louis to support Sterile Processing Service. The MST handles reprocessing of reusable medical devices for all clinical services in surgical suites and outpatient areas.

This is an entry- to full-performance level role with GS-03 to GS-06 progression, requiring US citizenship, basic education/experience, and English proficiency; supervision is provided as you develop proficiency in

Competenze

• Six months of experience or education indicating familiarity with sterile processing.
• Education: 1 year above high school with health care related courses or equivalent.
• Experience/education combination acceptable for entry-level.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Mansioni

• Process and decontaminate reusable medical devices.
• Assemble basic sets and trays for operating rooms and clinics.
• Load and operate sterilizers (steam, Sterrad, Steris, ETO).
• Prepare operating room case carts daily.
