Job summary

Foundation Medicine seeks a Senior Manager, Medical Science Liaison to build and expand a network of KOLs and clinical partners. The role focuses on exchanging scientific information to support FMI’s medical and commercial objectives and to advance genomic profiling in clinical practice.

You will deliver scientific presentations, tailor disease-state education, and collaborate with Medical Affairs on advisory boards, trials, and publication plans. Significant travel and remote work are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in health sciences, medicine, nursing, or genetics-related field with current or previous clinical licensure
• PhD, MD, DNP, or PharmD
• ~1+ years of work experience as an MSL in a diagnostic, biotech, or pharma/life sciences company
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to train and teach others
• Willingness to travel often and on short notice
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient data privacy
• Strong business acumen and territory planning experience

Responsibilities

• Identify and build relationships with KOLs, clinical and research leaders, academicians, clinicians, medical directors and other providers in assigned region
• Provide education on disease state and FMI clinical data to stakeholders and tailor messages for audiences
• Travel within assigned territory daily and participate in company meetings
• Develop and deliver scientific presentations and materials
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs on advisory boards, trials, and publication strategy
• Gather market intelligence on competitor products and new developments
• Respond to scientific inquiries from health care providers

Education

Master’s degree in health sciences, medicine, nursing, or genetics-related field with licensure

PhD, MD, DNP, or PharmD

1+ years of MSL experience in biotech/pharma

Strong communication and presentation skills

Willingness to travel frequently

HIPAA knowledge and patient data privacy understanding
