Job summary

Vertex Inc. seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison to serve as a scientific liaison to medical and academic communities, establishing and maintaining relationships with HCPs to disseminate clinical and scientific information about Vertex medicines in a timely, ethical and stakeholder-focused manner.

The Sr MSL will engage Thought Leaders in Hematology, Thalassemia and Transplant and will help shape the medical plan by providing external insights, contributing to Medical Affairs strategy, and

Qualifications

• Advanced biomedical or life sciences degree required (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, Masters, NP, PA).
• Typically requires 5+ years of experience as an MSL or in medical affairs in pharma/biotech.
• Experience in designated therapeutic area is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Develops trusted relationships with Thought Leaders in Hematology, Thalassemia and Transplant, engaging HCPs to broaden scientific engagement.
• Incorporates the Scientific Engagement Model into interactions and territory planning; captures feedback in CRM for strategy shaping.
• Represents Vertex at medical congresses, provides session coverage, and supports conference debriefs and coordinating TL interactions.
