Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to advance scientific exchange with key SCEs and HCPs across a defined US territory.

You will develop medical engagement plans, build relationships, and support trial activities while collaborating with Medical, Clinical Operations, and Commercial teams. The role emphasizes field-based interactions, disease-state education, and strategic insights to inform SOs and BI objectives.

Qualifications

  • Advanced science/clinical degree with 1+ years' relevant experience.
  • Masters in health sciences with 3+ years' experience.
  • BSc with MBA or BSN with MBA, and 5+ years' experience.
  • PA with 3+ years' experience.
  • Other medical licensure with 7+ years of experience.
  • 2+ years' MSL experience in relevant therapeutic area - preferred.
  • Advanced science/clinical degree with 3+ years' experience (AD, MSL Requirements).
  • Masters in health sciences with 5+ years' experience.
  • BSc. with MBA or BSN with MBA, and 7+ years' experience.
  • PA with 5+ years' experience.
  • Other medical licensure with 9+ years of experience.
  • 2+ years' MSL experience in relevant therapeutic area - required, 4+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Interactions and Scientific Exchange: Proactively conducting scientific exchange with SCEs to support the SOs.
  • Establishing and maintaining scientific relationships with SCEs across territory healthcare systems and practices.
  • Acting as a scientific resource to SCEs and HCPs to answer questions on TA topics and BI compounds.
  • Providing disease state education on TA topics.
  • Interacting with payer accounts and integrated delivery networks when requested.
  • Planning and Support: Developing territory engagement plans for SOs and SO priorities.
  • Assessing suitable SCEs and adjusting medical engagement plans.
  • Identifying gaps between BI and customer expectations.
  • Supporting development of scientific materials and training needs.
  • Maintaining regular communication with the TA MSL Team.
  • Interacting with BI study investigators to support trial activities.
  • Facilitating IIS and contract-related communications.
  • Providing scientific support for congresses and medical information.
  • Maintaining TA domain expertise through literature knowledge.
  • Insight Generation and Reporting: Documenting field insights, sharing with stakeholders, and enabling strategic decisions.
  • Discussing insights within the TA MSL team to understand impact and exploration needs.
  • Communicating insights across Medical and Commercial teams as directed.
  • Identifying changes in healthcare landscape and trends affecting delivery in the territory.

Education

Advanced science/clinical degree
Masters in health sciences
BSc with MBA or BSN with MBA
PA with 3+ years' experience
