Job summary

Mayo Clinic Arizona (MCA) is seeking a highly motivated Medical Physicist to support our photon clinical practice and academic missions. The role involves leadership in clinical physics activities, research, and education within a collaborative team of physicists.

The successful candidate will contribute to state-of-the-art radiation therapy techniques and participate in ongoing innovation, clinical software development, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have postgraduate degree in medical physics or related field and be able to communicate with diverse staff.
• Knowledge of treatment planning for external beam radiation and brachytherapy, radiobiology, radiation protection and health physics.
• Active participation in measurement of ionizing radiation and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full spectrum of photon clinical physics activities in a high-volume practice.
• Participate in education of medical physics residents and rotating students.
• Engage in innovation, including online adaptive radiotherapy and clinical software development.
• Collaborate with a team of physicists and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
