Job summary

Atrium Health Levine Cancer is seeking a Staff Physicist to support the proton therapy delivery system at PARC in uptown Charlotte. You will work with a dedicated team across facilities, performing complex treatment planning, QA, and collaboration with physicians to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires a Master’s in Medical Physics and board certifications, with proton therapy experience highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Medical Physics or related field.
• ABR/ABMP/CCPM certifications are required or strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a Medical Physicist Oncology position; proton therapy experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform delivery of non-standard, standard and complex treatment planning for HDR/LDR/SRS.
• Calibrate therapy machines, perform QA, and troubleshoot systems with engineering staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and physicists to optimize dose planning and patient safety.
• Develop and maintain QA programs for treatment modalities and imaging devices.
