Job summary
Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital is seeking a Senior Medical Physicist to design, optimize, and evaluate radiation plans, ensuring precise and safe delivery in the radiation oncology department. You will oversee safety for patients and staff and support calibration, dosimetry, treatment planning, and quality assurance.
Under the Director of Medical Physics, you will ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and the professional Code of Ethics, maintaining board-certified status and Florida
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in medical physics or related field
- Board eligibility and completion of certification within 3 years for non-certified candidates
- State of Florida license for medical physics (TRP or MPT) and maintenance of board certification per American College of Radiology requirements
- Current certification: CCPM (Canada), ABMP, or ABR
Responsibilities
- Safety oversight for patients and staff
- Compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and the professional Code of Ethics
- Provide ongoing physics support to the radiation oncology department
- Instrumentation, equipment calibration, treatment planning, dosimetry, radiation protection
- Quality assurance and treatment delivery verification
