Job summary

Siemens Healthineers seeks a Medical Physicist with 3–5 years of clinical experience to support Radiation Oncology services and ensure safe, high-quality radiation therapy. The role involves calibration, dosimetry, planning, and ongoing education of staff, in collaboration with leadership and IT for planning systems.

The position requires CAMPEP residency, ABR certification (or eligibility within 3 years), and licensure as needed, with relocation to support clinical needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years clinical experience in medical physics.
• CAMPEP-accredited residency is required.
• ABR certification or eligibility within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Calibration of dose meters and beam data for QA and planning.
• Prepare data for treatment planning systems and dosimetry software.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and standards of practice.
• Assist in acceptance testing and recommissioning of machines.
• Perform treatment planning, dosimetry calculations, and plan reviews.
• Provide physics consultation to staff and radiation oncologists.
• Verify department treatment planning system routinely.
• Collaborate with IT for department planning system management.
• Assist in shielding calculations for new facilities.
• Interpret regulatory changes for operations.
• Provide dosimetry checks after source changes.
• Assist with source selection for permanent implants.
• Contribute to clinical education and competency evaluations.

Education

M.S. or PhD in Medical Physics

CAMPEP-accredited residency

ABR Certification (or eligible within 3 years)
