Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex medical malpractice claims by investigating information to determine exposure and resolve.
• Conducts full investigation and provides reports on new events, claims and legal actions.
• Calculates and assigns reserves; monitors reserve adequacy throughout claim life.
• Recommends settlement strategies; presents structured settlement proposals when needed.
• Coordinates legal defense by assigning attorneys and reviewing invoices; ensures client guidelines compliance.
• Uses cost containment techniques including vendor partnerships to reduce overall claim costs.
• Identifies opportunities for subrogation, recovery, or fraud to reduce costs.
• Represents the company in depositions and mediations as needed.
