Brown University Health seeks a Sr. Medical Technologist to oversee testing in a specific lab section and perform complex analyses. Role includes guiding staff, mentoring students, and contributing to research projects in a dynamic academic hospital setting.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's in Medical Laboratory Science or related field with ASCP eligibility. The position operates Monday–Friday days at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI, with rotating weekends as needed.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field or equivalent.
• ASCP certification (or eligible) required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and determine suitability of solutions, reagents and stains.
• Apply advanced knowledge to conduct/interpret routine and specialized tests.
• Participate in research projects and implement new procedures.
• Provide guidance to other staff and resolve complex problems.
• Review current literature to stay updated in specialization.
• Contribute to teaching and student/resident education.
