Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology or corresponding science
• Certification (MLS or categorical) or completion certificate from accredited MLS program
• Must maintain certification in states where required
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy where applicable

Responsibilities

• Perform testing accurately and timely according to policies and standards
• Assist in startup, calibration, and accuracy of procedures/instrumentation
• Monitor abnormal results and document deviations
• Contribute to department and system process improvement and QA activities
• Provide training and act as a department resource for staff and external customers
• Process and prepare patient samples with correct identification and integrity
