Job summary

Hologic, Inc. in Marlborough, MA, seeks a Lead Systems Engineer, R&D, to drive large, complex medical imaging products and lead cross-functional efforts across engineering, product management and regulatory teams.

This role demands systems-level expertise in DICOM, PACS and enterprise infrastructure, with strong architectural leadership to deliver interoperable clinical workflows and innovative solutions. Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical imaging workflows and radiology systems.
• Expert level in systems engineering and architecture.
• Knowledge of FDA design controls and IEC standards.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expert understanding of products and apply to design, development, testing and implementation.
• Drive technical vision and product roadmap with cross-functional teams.
• Lead architectural discussions for interoperable clinical workflows.
• Define needs, use cases, interfaces and verification needs.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, service, quality, regulatory and SQA.
• Provide leadership across design, deployment, sustaining engineering, and product improvement.
• Travel to customer sites to gather insights and ensure alignment.
