Masimo Corporation in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Engineer III to lead the design, development, validation, and optimization of advanced biomedical signal processing algorithms for noninvasive monitoring technologies. This onsite role requires mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with clinical, quality, and regulatory teams.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in biomedical signal processing, strong MATLAB/C/C++ skills, and experience with embedded systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience developing algorithms for biomedical signal processing or similar sensing applications.
• Strong expertise in digital and statistical signal processing, estimation techniques, optimization methods, and numerical modeling.
• Advanced programming proficiency in MATLAB and C/C++; experience with Python or similar languages.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems and algorithm implementation considerations.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting large datasets using statistical methods.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to independently lead complex technical projects with minimal direction.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate within cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, validation, and optimization of advanced biomedical signal processing algorithms.
• Apply signal processing, statistical analysis, and numerical modeling to improve algorithm performance and reliability.
• Design experiments, analyze clinical and engineering datasets, and validate algorithm performance for product development and regulatory needs.
• Develop algorithm solutions using MATLAB, C/C++, Python, and embedded system support.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Software, Systems, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, and Product Management teams.
• Provide technical leadership and establish engineering best practices.
