Job summary

Intouch Solutions is seeking a Senior Medical Editor to lead medical editing, copyediting, proofreading, and fact checking for digital and print pharmaceutical advertising materials. You will ensure brand accuracy, AMA style compliance, and high-quality output across internal and external communications.

You will mentor junior editors, manage complex brand launches, and collaborate with Creative, Account, and Project Management teams to deliver accurate, compliant content on tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education plus professional experience required.
• 5+ years of editing experience within a healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising agency.
• Thorough knowledge of current AMA style; experience with medical/regulatory/legal reviews.
• Familiarity with FDA requirements for drug promotion.
• Comfort with medical/pharma terminology.
• Extremely detail oriented, thorough and accurate.
• Proven experience managing rapidly shifting priorities and deadlines in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to take ownership, be accountable and work independently.
• Digitally savvy with strong verbal and written communication, organization, and problem-solving.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Edit for clarity, brand/messaging accuracy, tone, cohesion, and AMA style; support reviews with AI tools.
• Participate in content reviews; fact-check with accurate referencing.
• Manage multiple brand tasks with competing deadlines, coordinating with Editorial, Creative, Account, PM.
• Lead launches; support agency team and launch tasks.
• Represent Editorial at kickoff and status meetings.
• Create and maintain client/style guides.
• Onboard and mentor junior staff.
• Support initiatives to uphold quality and efficiency.
• Escalate issues to Editorial management and collaborate to resolve them.
