The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Medical Director to lead a Phase 3 pivotal program and potentially other programs involving the same molecule. This role involves leading clinical development activities, managing a team of scientists and physicians, and collaborating across departments and with external stakeholders. Responsibilities include medical monitoring, clinical study design, data interpretation, and regulatory interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Medical monitoring of trials in neurodegenerative and endocrine diseases.
• Leadership in clinical development, integrating scientific, regulatory, and patient-centered insights.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external experts to develop and execute clinical development plans.
• Producing high-quality clinical documentation and reports.
• Building relationships with research, regulatory, and operational teams, as well as external partners.

Qualifications

• MD required.
• Experience in late-stage clinical development, preferably in rare diseases.
• 8+ years in leading clinical programs within biotech/pharma.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Work Location & Conditions

This is a remote-friendly role within the US, requiring residence and work within a state where Amylyx operates. Travel to Cambridge, MA, is expected several times a year. Candidates must have a suitable remote work environment and adhere to company policies on confidentiality and security.
