Job summary

HonorVet Technologies in Houston, TX seeks a Technical Writer for a 6-month contract to produce comprehensive manuals and documentation for medical devices and related systems. You will partner with R&D and support teams to publish clear, accurate materials for global use.

Responsibilities include developing engineering-level content, SOPs, and training materials, while ensuring quality and regulatory alignment. Proficiency with Adobe, Flare, Oxygen, and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant technical writing experience.
• Experience in technical publications for electronic equipment.
• Experience creating documents for print and digital media.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe, Flare, Oxygen.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with R&D Engineers, Technical Support Engineers, and stakeholders to create and publish materials for releases of medical devices.
• Develop engineering-level knowledge of clients' medical devices and subsystems.
• Build knowledge of technical publication customer needs and address them.
• Create and publish detailed technical materials in clear English for global distribution and client quality requirements.
• Collaborate with other technical writers to produce documentation.
• Assist with monthly technical newsletters and other documents as needed.
• Ensure project deadlines are met.
