Job summary

BD is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional, complex product development and sustaining engineering projects within the medical device space. You will partner with engineering, quality, regulatory, marketing, operations, and external suppliers to define scope, plans, budgets, risks, and execution from concept through commercialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, or related field.
• 3+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional projects.
• Experience delivering medical device or regulated product development projects from concept to commercialization.
• Strong knowledge of PM methodologies, governance, and product development lifecycle processes.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Experience working with external suppliers, contract manufacturers, and development partners.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project and scheduling methodologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing objectives and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.
• PMO experience and FDA/ISO13485 knowledge are a plus.
• Spanish is a plus.
• Strong business and financial acumen for project tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams in planning and executing new product development, sustaining engineering, remediation, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and governance documentation.
• Drive execution by identifying, managing, and escalating risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
• Facilitate project meetings with clear ownership and action items.
• Monitor performance against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and objectives.
• Forecast and manage resources across project phases with functional leaders.
• Prepare and deliver status updates, executive presentations, and portfolio reports.
• Ensure compliance with design control, regulatory, and quality systems.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and partners to manage deliverables and timelines.
• Maintain project data in project management systems (MS Project, OnePlan, SharePoint).
• Support risk mitigation strategies and contingency planning.
• Foster global collaboration across dispersed teams and sites.
