Job summary

Piedmont Clinic is seeking a Sr. Medical Staff Specialist to support credentialing, privileging, and compliance across Piedmont Hospitals in Georgia.

The role coordinates initial appointments, reappointments, and temporary privileging while ensuring timely data review and adherence to applicable standards. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of medical staffing experience; CPCS/CMSC credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or in lieu six years of relevant work experience will be accepted
• 4 years of medical staffing experience in a hospital or healthcare setting required or in lieu of degree 10 years
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and CMSC preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of credentialing and privileging for medical staff initial appointment, AP Practitioner, reappointment, and temporary privileging
• Review all required data for each applicant within defined timelines
• Ensure compliance with DNV standards, medical/legal issues, and state/federal guidelines
