Job summary

Ashfield MedComms, part of Inizio Medical, is seeking an experienced Senior Account Director to lead strategic and operational delivery across high-profile publications and medical affairs accounts. You will drive senior-level client partnerships and guide Client Services teams to deliver impactful work.

In this role you will oversee global publication programs, manage budgets, and contribute to new business opportunities while developing team capability and ensuring cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive medical communications agency experience across publications and medical affairs.
• Proven success leading multiple complex client accounts and advising senior stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of publication planning, industry standards, and compliance.
• Experience leading Client Services teams and managing managers/direct reports.
• Financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, profitability and SOW development.
• Experience with new business development, proposals, and RFPs/RFIs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a solutions-focused approach.
• Experience with iEnvision, Veeva, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across publications and medical affairs accounts.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and provide strategic counsel.
• Oversee publication programs including abstracts, posters, manuscripts, congress activities.
• Partner with Scientific Services to deliver strategic medical communications plans.
• Champion operational best practices to strengthen delivery and growth.
• Own account financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing and SOW development.
• Lead and develop multiple Client Services team members.
• Lead and support business development activities, including proposals and RFPs/RFIs.
• Collaborate with senior Client Services leadership on resourcing and new services.
• Manage risks, priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
