Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Evaluation and Management and surgical coding guidelines.
• Experience with professional inpatient and outpatient medical coding and billing.
• Minimum of two years of professional inpatient and outpatient medical auditing; senior role requires three years.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct focused retrospective quality reviews of physicians, mid-levels, and coders.
• Ensure coding accuracy is monitored and education provided based on review results.
• Prepare management reports and identify trends.
• Ensure timely completion of reviews, with results compiled and feedback delivered to appropriate personnel.
• Develop education materials for staff on annual coding updates and guidelines.
