Job summary

Temple-Health is seeking a Coding Specialist to work with the Director of Coding on charge capture and billing processes. You will ensure that charges are transmitted to the coding work queue, review documentation, and advise physicians on deficiencies to ensure accurate submission of billing.

Responsibilities include maintaining coding guidelines, analyzing trends, and coordinating with Compliance on educational opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in physician/multi-specialist practice coding.
• Knowledge of third-party reimbursement policies for professional services.
• Experience with Professional Fee Coding, Billing, and Collections.

Responsibilities

• Understand coding charge capture flow and ensure charges are transmitted to coding queue.
• Analyze outstanding documentation and deficiencies with physicians.
• Maintain documentation and controls for internal charge capture processes.
• Collaborate with TUHS Compliance for educational opportunities.
