Job summary

Temple Health is seeking an Sr Coding & CDI Specialist to lead in-depth reviews of clinical documentation for accurate coding and regulatory compliance. This role provides guidance to physicians, nurses and staff, and identifies coding-related compliance issues to improve documentation quality.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field, 5 years of inpatient coding/CDI experience, and strong knowledge of ICD, CPT, DRG and APC coding.

Qualifications

• 5 years of inpatient coding/CDI experience
• Strong knowledge of ICD, CPT, DRG and APC coding
• EPIC knowledge preferred
• Regulatory/compliance awareness and documentation accuracy

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth reviews of clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Provide coding guidance to physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals
• Identify and address coding-related compliance issues and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with CDI and Coding Leadership teams to provide feedback on chart reviews and education
