Job summary

Qualifications

• Medical billing/coding certificate or Revenue Cycle Certification and 1 year of related experience or training.
• Basic knowledge of insurance terminology, reimbursement methods, claims processes, and remittance advices.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily posting of payments, imports remits and reconciles payments.
• Reviews claim edits to ensure clean claims and timely submission to payers.
• Processes and corrects insurance denials and works AR aging to maximize reimbursement.
• Provides customer service on claims and billing questions with internal and external customers.
• Complies with policies, safety procedures and confidentiality requirements.
