Job summary

Qualifications

• Two (2) years documented Medical Billing experience.
• Willingness to obtain certification (Certified Billing Specialist) within one year of hire.
• Ability to monitor/mentor Biller Specialist I for accuracy and training.
• Yup'ik speaking preferred.
• Must have a general understanding of insurance billing and willing to learn medical billing with supervised on-site training.
• Excellent verbal and written customer service skills and ability to interact in a positive HIPAA compliant manner with patients and co-workers.
• Well organized and detail oriented.
• Able to represent BBAHC in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliant billing and collecting of medical services.
• Handle IHS, Self-Pay, Commercial as well as Medicare and Medicaid third party insurance groups.
• Represent BBAHC in a professional manner and interact with patients and co-workers in a HIPAA compliant way.
