Qualifications

• Extensive medical billing and revenue cycle management experience is required.
• Strong understanding of the complete revenue cycle, including claims, denials, A/R, payment posting, and collections.
• Experience working with multiple insurance payers and payer portals.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently research and resolve complex billing issues.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with medical billing/EHR systems.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the medical billing process from charge entry through payment posting and account resolution.
• Submit and follow up on insurance claims, including electronic and paper claims.
• Investigate and resolve claim denials, rejections, underpayments, and unpaid balances.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits when needed.
• Handle accounts receivable (A/R) follow-up and work aging reports.
• Post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately.
• Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and providers regarding billing issues.
• Identify billing errors and take appropriate action to maximize reimbursement.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with healthcare billing regulations.
