• Ability to interpret documents and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Code medical bills quickly and accurately.
• Screen for appropriateness and medical necessity.
• Determine reimbursement using fee schedules.
• Communicate with clients and providers for clarification.
• Forward unlisted procedure numbers as needed.
• Price hospital and surgery bills to fee schedules.
• Process reconsideration requests as assigned.
• Support provider calls as needed.
