Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (American Heart Association).
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Training in specialty-specific assisting is a plus.
• Two years of experience in primary care clinical assisting, including labs and diagnostic orders.

Aufgaben

• Prepares for patient appointments by reviewing and updating records in the EHR and determining needed services.
• Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments before patient visits.
• Greets patients, escorts them to rooms, conducts rooming activities including vital signs and medication list.
• Assists provider/nurse during exams and procedures, adheres to safety and sterile techniques.
• Performs basic nursing tasks and assists with ADLs as indicated.
• Administers injections and performs phlebotomy if applicable.
• Maintains safe and comfortable environment and processes specimens per OSHA/CLIA guidelines.
• Schedules tests and off-site procedures; coordinates telehealth visits and follow-ups.
