Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant 4 in Tampa, FL, to be the first point of contact for patient care. The role combines administrative duties with clinical tasks, including collecting vital signs, administering medications and vaccines, and performing phlebotomy.

You will collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, document in the EMR, and lead advanced administrative activities. The position requires a high level of initiative and the ability to mentor others.

Qualifications

• Required Certified or Registered Phlebotomy Experience.
• Medication/vaccine administration experience.
• 3+ years MA Experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Certified.

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms and obtain vital signs.
• Administer medications and vaccines.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens.
• Conduct diagnostic screening tests and sterilize/clean equipment.
• Maintain examination rooms and document information in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Lead and mentor other Medical Assistants as needed.
