Job summary

OrthoArizona in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Medical Assistant to support multiple orthopedic clinics. You will prepare patients for exams, take vitals, record histories, input EMR data, and prep exam rooms.

You will mentor new hires, train staff on processes, manage instrument and supply readiness, assist with minor procedures, and coordinate test scheduling and prior-authorizations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Medical Assistant with completed accredited program.
• Ability to take vitals and document patient history accurately.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy.
• Experience training new hires is a plus.
• Experience with EMA/ModMed EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including vitals.
• Input and maintain EMR documentation.
• Support multiple clinics regionally for coverage during PTO or callouts.
• Assist providers in minor procedures and tests scheduling.
• Monitor supplies and equipment; assist with inventory.
