Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Medical Assistant lead to supervise Medical Assistants I and II and serve as a primary clinical resource in a multi-physician practice.

The role encompasses preparing exam rooms, managing patient flow, and supporting physicians with examinations, procedures, and care coordination. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant certifications; a minimum of three years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related patient care experience.
• Medical Assistant certifications such as CCMA, CMA, or RMA preferred.
• Education and certifications must meet WashU requirements as described in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care tasks including vitals, EKGs, phlebotomy.
• Prepare exam rooms, charts, and scheduling tests.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and lab tests; may administer medications under physician orders.
• Direct patient flow and coordinate care with staff; ensure HIPAA compliance.
