Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Medical Assistant to rotate between W57th St and Faculty Practice. Typical day shifts range 9am–5pm or 10am–6pm; CMA preferred but not required. Spanish bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, EKGs, patient flow, clerical EMR work, order entry, inventory, room setup, and assisting physicians. Requires 2+ years experience and CMA certification or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with Medical Assistant certificate course.
• 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and/or EKGs; assist with patient flow and exam prep.
• Assist physicians with procedures; take vital signs and relay instructions.
• Enter orders into the EMR; process prescription refill requests.
• Inventory, restock, and setup exam rooms; maintain sterilization standards.
• Schedule surgeries/procedures; schedule and register patients; update demographics.
• Provide patient support and education as needed.
