PHI Health seeks an experienced appeals negotiator to maximize reimbursements from payers and manage underpayments. You will foster strong payer relationships and ensure accurate documentation and collections for contracted and non-contracted accounts.

The role requires deep knowledge of compliance, regulations, and clinical record review, reporting to Patient Financial Services leadership. This position is critical to maintaining PHI Health’s commitment to timely, fair payments across its base

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred with 5 years related work experience.
• 5+ years' experience in medical billing, surgical billing, billing in emergency medical services and collections preferred.

Responsabilités

• Negotiate the highest reimbursement for underpaid payers.
• Maintain outstanding relationships with payers.
• Identify, document and assist in collections of underpayments.
• Provide supporting documentation for additional payments for services rendered.
• Oversee and resolve denials requiring written response; ensure compliance with regulations.
