Scheduled Hours: Hours vary per office need, typically 8-4:30 or 8:30-5

Shift: 1 - Day Shift, 10 Hours (United States of America)

This role involves secretarial and administrative support for physicians, faculty, and medical service line chiefs, requiring thorough knowledge of medical office procedures and administrative practices. The duties include interfacing with faculty, medical staff, patients, and administrative staff, demanding tact and diplomacy. The position may involve coordinating medical office activities and staff.

The role requires working across multiple Community Medical Group locations within the region, filling in as needed.

Position Details

We are seeking a motivated, independent, hardworking self-starter for our "Regional" Sr. Medical Admin Secretary position in the South East Region, covering Auburn, Douglas, Grafton, Millbury, Spencer, Sutton, and Worcester. This full-time, benefits-eligible position offers a generous differential and base pay, with hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Compensation: $3000 sign-on bonus and $3/hr shift differential

Major Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate medical office activities and staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
  2. Transcribe medical reports from dictation, produce correspondence, reports, and memos, and proofread/edit manuscripts and academic papers.
  3. Attend meetings as recording secretary, distribute agendas and minutes.
  4. Serve as coordinator for residency, fellowship, clerkship, or educational programs.
  5. Compose or select standard response letters for routine inquiries.
  6. Arrange meetings, travel, and coordinate patient visits and procedures.
Qualifications

License/Certification/Education:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Valid MA driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel within the region.

Experience/Skills:

  • 6-12 months of specialized medical secretarial/office training and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases, Medi-Tech, IDX, Lynx, etc.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally outside the assigned region.
