Inizio Evoke Comms is a global health communications agency delivering insights-driven campaigns for pharma, biotech and non-profits. We are seeking a Senior Media Relations Manager to oversee multiple accounts, from planning to execution, and to craft strategic media plans with clients and account leads.

You will lead media relations, apply AI tools to inform outreach, and contribute to business development while mentoring teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business or health/science related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in public relations and health/pharma communications.

We deliver insights-driven public relations campaigns, policy programs, and initiatives that advance health and wellbeing around the world.

We are looking for a Senior Media Realtions Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for maintaining and running multiple key projects across accounts, playing an active role from planning to seamless implementation. You will develop strategic media plans for clients in partnership with the account lead and craft overarching communications tactics to enable clients to meet their objectives. Additionally, you will effectively sell through media relations work for existing and new clients.

This is a remote role reporting to a Senior Vice President, Media Relations.

You Will:

Client Partnership

• Manage all aspects of media project timelines and deliverables
• Interact with clients independently; regarded by the client as the media point person on their accounts
• Interpret, develop, and manage clients’ media strategy; demonstrate understanding of the strategic issues and big picture
• Demonstrate expertise in using AI in creating deliverables and analyzing media trends, identifying opportunities, and optimizing media outreach strategies for maximum impact
• Provide strategic media counsel during client meetings/calls

Leadership & Teamwork

• Tackles tough challenges or problems quickly
• Build and maintain relationships internally and externally (clients and journalists)
• Be recognized by peers and management for their consistent and proactive contributions to the team

• Articulate a client’s story confidently and accurately
• Integrate information from a variety of sources into one comprehensive and compelling story or deliverable

Business Development

• Engage regularly to support development of new business proposals and related deliverables
• Participate in new business presentations
• Exhibit ability to build existing accounts and expand potential revenue by providing ideas to senior managers

You Will Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing, business or health / science related field or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of experience in public relations and communications; health or pharma communications experience required
• Experience in media relations including pitching reporters, creating media lists, etc.
• Experience in highly scientific therapy areas including but not limited to, oncology, rare disease, and neuroscience
• Understanding of Inizio Evoke Communications’ missions and values and a commitment to the growth and success of the company
• Experience driving current or new business growth
• Passion for improving lives through innovations in health
• A good understanding of current issues in domestic and global health

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. Compensation

$80,000-$110,000 USD
