GovCIO seeks a Senior Systems Administrator in Alexandria, VA, with strong MECM expertise to manage enterprise endpoint systems. Hybrid schedule facilitates on-site collaboration with federal program teams and continuous MECM operations across the Coast Guard program.

The role emphasizes automation via PowerShell, patch management, imaging workflows, and strict compliance with DoD security baselines to ensure reliable, secure endpoint services.

Qualifications

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certifications (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+) required.
• MECM administration: hands-on in large enterprise environments.
• SQL administration with SSRS related to MECM environment.
• Windows Server 2012–2025 with AD, GPO, DNS, and core services.
• Imaging and deployment workflows, task sequences, driver management.
• Virtualization with VMware vSphere or Hyper-V.
• PowerShell scripting to automate admin tasks.
• Clear, accurate documentation of configurations and workflows.
• Test environments for validation, troubleshooting, and change testing.
• Independent work style with strong task ownership and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Administer MECM and supporting infrastructure for enterprise endpoint management.
• Package, test, and deploy software, updates, and patches across Windows endpoints.
• Create and support task sequences for OS deployments and imaging workflows.
• Maintain test environments for validation and troubleshooting.
• Support patch management cycles: scheduling, deployment, reporting, remediation.
• Ensure endpoint compliance with STIGs and baselines.
• Troubleshoot MECM client health, distribution, imaging, and compliance issues.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks.
• Document configurations, procedures, and workflows; generate MECM reports.
• Monitor health and performance; communicate with stakeholders.
