Job summary

GovCIO in Key West, FL is seeking a Senior Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to support SOUTHCOM infrastructure engineering. The role is onsite and focuses on MECM architecture, patching, OS deployment, software distribution, and reporting at scale.

You will lead patch management, automate with PowerShell and CMPivot, and mentor junior admins while ensuring compliance with DISA STIGs and security protocols. A strong background in virtualization and DoD-related certifications is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nine (9) or more years of relevant Systems Administrator experience.
• Five years of position-specific experience managing MECM/SCCM.
• Expertise in server hardware, virtualization technologies, and network infrastructure.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Bash).
• DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II certification within 3 months of starting.
• A BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect, configure, and maintain MECM infrastructure across distributed networks.
• Lead enterprise patching strategy for Microsoft OS and third-party apps.
• Package, test, and deploy software and scripts to endpoints with minimal disruption.
• Engineer OS deployment baselines and zero-touch provisioning.
• Develop advanced SQL/SSRS/CMPivot reports for real-time endpoint visibility.
• Mentor junior admins and provide Tier 3 support with thorough documentation.
