About the Role:
As a Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will lead service technicians on the team in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects. You will help train, and mentor service technicians and contract technicians.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
2. Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems in the building
3. Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
4. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.
5. Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used
6. Maintain positive working relationships across all of the Amazon Operations facility
7. Develop training plans for service technicians
8. Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets
9. Move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
2. High school or equivalent diploma
3. Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
4. 4+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
5. 4+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls
6. 4+ years of Blueprint & Electrical Schematic knowledge
7. 4+ years experience demonstrating Safety Standards
8. 3+ year experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience acting in a shift lead capacity that supports, trains, and mentors less experienced technicians
2. Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards
3. Able to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operations
4. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
5. Continuous improvement mindset
6. Willingness to learn and grow within Amazon RME
7. Experience working with multiple stakeholders (Operations, Safety, etc.) to coordinate complex maintenance activities
8. Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
9. Experience acting in a team lead capacity that supports, trains, and mentors less experienced technicians
10. 4+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
11. 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
12. 2+ years of experience working with PLC based controls systems
13. 2+ years of experience with robotic operation and maintenance
14. Project Management experience
