About the Role

As a Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance Team by designing solutions for complex problems and managing projects. You will also train and mentor junior technicians and contract technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety: Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
2. Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, including relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.
3. Monitoring: Create, assign, and close work orders with data on labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
4. Support: Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures. Mentor junior technicians to foster growth.
5. Communication: Maintain positive relationships across the Operations facility.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years experience with material handling equipment (MHE) such as conveyors and controls.
• 4+ years experience with preventative maintenance.
• 4+ years reading blueprints and schematics.
• 3+ years using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• 2+ years programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Experience leading, supporting, training, and mentoring technicians.
• Vendor management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's or higher degree in Mechanical or Electrical fields.
• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb, use aerial lifts, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to wear PPE such as hard hats, masks, shields, and safety shoes.
• Regular crouching, bending, and reaching.
• Daily movement across departments and properties, averaging 6-12 miles.
• Work in environments with fluctuating temperatures.
• Typing on a computer for 1-2 hours daily.
