Dandy is seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to lead the mechatronic architecture of next-generation Special Purpose Machines for manufacturing custom-made prosthetics. The role sits in a hybrid setup in the South Bay (SF) area, requiring 6+ years in hardware, mechatronics, or robotics engineering and a strong background in system-level design.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of machine-building experience in hardware, mechatronics, or robotics engineering.
• Experience designing system-level architectures for production systems.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and knowledge of fabrication processes.
• Strong understanding of robotic kinematics/dynamics and motor controllers.
• Hands-on sensor integration and embedded systems in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and integrate complex robotic hardware systems for high-precision prosthetics manufacturing.
• Apply additive and subtractive manufacturing knowledge to SPMs.
• Lead rapid prototyping and conduct structural/thermal analyses; perform FMEA.
• Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software teams for seamless integration.
