Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8+ years related experience in mechanical testing and validation.
• Experience with coolant systems and modular cooling hardware a plus.
• Familiarity with lab instrumentation and safety procedures.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to document protocols clearly.
• Knowledge of networking concepts is a plus for device integration.

Job Purpose:

The Senior Mechanical / Testing Engineer oversees, designs, and executes comprehensive testing and quality protocols for advanced liquid cooling infrastructure and equipment. Designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Prepares test and diagnostic protocols. This role is responsible for maintaining cooling loop integrity, validating mechanical and chemical performance metrics, and ensuring seamless integration between hardware systems, facility fluid loops, and networked control architectures.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

Hands-on operation, testing, and validation of Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), Air-Assist Liquid Coolers (AALCs), cold plates, and manifolds.

Conduct routine quality and chemical analysis of LC25/PG25 coolants (Dowfrost) using specialized equipment (refractometers, pH sensors, conductivity sensors, nephelometers) and

visual inspections. Enforce all safe handling procedures.

Utilize pressure transducers to perform precise N2 decay testing to ensure vacuum and loop tightness across fluid distribution networks.

Analyze fluid flow dynamics to determine how filter selection impacts flow rates. Establish life- cycle schedules for filter replacement and evaluate industry-standard filter sizing.

Design and evaluate facility-level liquid cooling loops (AALC vs. FLC infrastructure). Select compatible, safe fluid connectors and materials to eliminate corrosion and material

Partner with controls teams to troubleshoot and maintain communication protocols between service carts, automated liquid stations, and facility networks.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum of 8 years of related experience.

Proven track record working with CDUs, cold plates, manifolds, AALCs, and facility-level fluid distribution systems.

Hands-on experience with PG25/LC25 coolants, Dowfrost quality metrics, and fluid measurement instrumentation (nephelometers, pH meters, refractometers).

Strong working knowledge of computer networking concepts (to facilitate communication between service carts, automated liquid stations, and central systems) is a strong plus.

Salary Range(annual): $100,00 - $140,000

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
