Producers Midstream Management is seeking a Senior Mechanical Technician in Hobbs, New Mexico. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance of 3500 and 3600 series compression systems, including startup, shutdown and preventative maintenance to ensure safe operations and optimized throughput.

The position requires experience with natural gas engines and compressors, including major overhauls, and a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Five years of related natural gas field or related experience.
• Proficient with computer usage and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with HMI software operations.
• Knowledge of natural gas compression equipment.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations affecting health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 98% mechanical availability on natural gas compressors.
• Troubleshoot a variety of natural gas engines and compressors.
• Perform major overhauls on engines and compressors.
• Perform preventative maintenance on expander, engines, turbines, compressors and pumps.
• Replace motors, belts, filters, oils, gaskets, valves and related components; maintain housekeeping.
• Enter maintenance data and generate work orders in Brightly; record weights and measurements for engine components.
• Maintain accurate maintenance schedules and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Be available for overtime; respond to call outs within 2 hours.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and reside within 80 miles of reporting location.
