Job summary

Hut 8 is seeking a Superintendent, Mechanical for a full-time, site-based role in Corpus Christi, TX. You will lead mechanical and cooling-system field execution on a high-stakes data center build, driving schedule, coordinating trades, and enforcing safety and quality from mobilization through turnover.

Responsibilities include supervising chilled water and hydronic systems, equipment receiving, BIM coordination, and commissioning handoff, with a strong focus on documentation and look-ahead

Qualifications

• 7+ years supervising mechanical trades on data center, semiconductor, hospital, or heavy industrial projects.
• Solid knowledge of chilled water plants, air and liquid cooling systems, and hydronic distribution.
• Experience driving commissioning prerequisites and turnover documentation in live Cx programs.
• Strong trade sequencing instincts in congested spaces with tight schedules.
• Focus on pipe cleanliness, flushing, and pressure-test discipline for critical hydronic systems.
• Proven safety leadership including rigging and confined-space operations.
• Familiarity with Procore/ACC, BIM field use, and full mechanical drawings.
• Clear daily documentation habits: dailies, QC records, and test docs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation of mechanical and cooling systems across the data center build.
• Coordinate hydronic distribution, balancing, and performance verification before turnover.
• Oversee receiving, offload, and rigging of major equipment with logistics teams.
• Manage trade sequencing in dense spaces and BIM-driven clash resolution.
• Drive commissioning handoff and support CX program through Levels 4-5.
• Enforce safety and quality with rigging, testing, and confined-space protocols.
• Own three-week look-ahead, coordination, RFIs, and as-built documentation.
