Senior Mechanical Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Specialist to join our Power Generation team. The role focuses on projects primarily within the utility, IPP, industrial, and institutional sectors. Responsibilities include leading the project mechanical team, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, monitoring and communicating project status, and executing mechanical engineering tasks for detailed design and owner‑engineer projects.

Lead the project mechanical team, coordinate with other engineering disciplines, monitor and communicate project status, and execute mechanical engineering tasks for detailed design and owner‑engineer projects on both a technical and contractual level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related field
• Master’s degree in business or engineering
• Gas turbine, steam turbine and/or large reciprocating engine experience or subject matter expertise
• Design experience with simple and combined cycle power generation facilities
• Previous experience with an engineering power consulting or EPC firm
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Willing to mentor less experienced engineers
• Willingness to obtain Professional Engineering Licensure
• Proficient at working within an established schedule and budget
• Extensive experience in project execution of Power Generation projects
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software (examples include AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit)
• Local candidates preferred

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported
• Aptitude and demonstrated hands‑on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline to be supported
• Extensive knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported
• Proven ability to work in multi‑disciplinary environments
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
