Job summary

RTX’s Landing Systems division seeks a Survey and Repair technician III for our Opa Locka, FL facility. The position is 100% onsite with second shift hours and possible overtime. Training will be provided; FAA safety expectations apply. U.S.

persons only. This is a safety-sensitive role with FAA-related responsibilities. Ideal candidates hold a HS diploma (or GED) with at least two years of hands-on repair experience and an A&P repairman certificate is a plus.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or GED) and minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Repairman Certificate A&P License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects Landing Gear components for damage.
• Records condition and dimensions to determine repair and overhaul requirements.
• Assembles fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations.
• Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and specifications.
• Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units per product specs.
• Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary.
• Performs complete operation checkouts, modifications, disassembly, repairs, reassembly, test calibrations, diagnoses and corrections.
• Follows repair and return processes to ensure high quality and short cycle time of repair and return.
• Sets up necessary repair and test facilities.
• May be required to complete an apprenticeship or training.
